The build
Spurling Cannon, a leading accountancy firm in Kent reached out to see if we could rebuild their website.
After an in-depth review of their existing website and some back and forth via Zoom, work on Spurling Cannon’s website began.
First Stages
One of the first tasks for the build of Spurling Cannon’s website was to do a deep dive on their old website. Find out features they liked, features they didn’t like, assess search engine ranking, performance benchmarking and more. This gave us a good picture of areas we could improve, and some strengths of the old website we wanted to enhance.
Layouts, scale and key features
After the first meeting with Spurling Cannon, we were able to gauge the size and complexity of the project. We wanted to remove some of the lesser used pages from the old site, and restructure the service pages to provide a better user experience. After trying a number of page structures and user testing each, we decided to structure their vast array of services into personal & business accounting services. This provided more SEO opportunities, as well as easy navigation for the users by using consistent archiving of products & services and navigation breadcrumbs.
Ongoing development
With all of our websites, we offer ongoing hosting, security maintenance, SEO and additional development.
Since launch, we have been converting their newsletter articles into engaging blog posts every month. We also created a job archive they can conveniently post job roles to and much more.
Posting regular engaging content into a blog archive is crucial to keeping visitors engaged over time. This helps search ranking, and ultimately bringing in more traffic and leads to their website.
